What B2B Buyers Should Send in a Chinese Auto Parts RFQ

A complete RFQ helps the supplier check the correct part, available quantity, packing and freight before quotation.

The information importers and wholesalers should include in a Chinese auto parts RFQ to reduce repeated questions and wrong-part risk.

Part and vehicle information

Send the part name, quantity, OE/OEM or transmission code, vehicle brand, model, year, engine, VIN when available, and clear old-part or nameplate photos.

Commercial and shipping information

Add the destination country and port, preferred FOB or CIF basis, trial-order or repeat-order context, and any packing, labeling or document requirement.

What should be confirmed before payment

The quotation or PI should record the product reference, quantity, packing, trade term, payment term, lead-time wording and warranty terms that apply to that order.

Order boundary: Fitment, final quantity, price, freight, lead time and warranty terms are confirmed in writing before order.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the destination port needed before quotation?

It is needed when freight or a CIF option is requested and helps avoid quoting against the wrong route.

Can buyers send photos instead of an OE number?

Yes. Clear product and label photos can start the check, although additional vehicle or VIN information may still be required.
